To be or not to be That is the question.
-Shakespeare

I look up into the winter sky,
To see the beams of heaven shining down,
Illuminating the snow filled valley,
Blinding my vision with light,
Enlightening my soul,
I look again and see heaven itself,
A glorious land that sits on a cloud,
I look upon the gates of heaven,
Golden wrought and silver trim,
An angel speaks out to me,
Welcoming me home,
This is my final journey,
I’m afraid this is where we part,
I must enter the golden gates,
And leave you behind,
I can see you through the flashes of light,
That falters my vision,
Can you not see that I need to go?
Heaven has been waiting for me,
To come home.

It's visual, and paint's a good picture I guess. Aside from the grammatical errors, it's a nice poem.

Very moving with a nice flow; you felt an overall sense of peace at the end.  Nice piece.  Great job!
