The darkness falls over the sunny hills
The light is what the shadow fills
When the sun sets at the end
The day is done in the end

Darkness lasts only measly times
Light comes when darkness primes
Shadow has to flee from sight
No way of pushing back the light

A new day shines on the peak
A new song comes from the jay’s beak
Fear is gone as light comes into view
And shines softly on the morning dew

Sing and dance for the new day draws
Get busy when the light paws
Enjoy the time of this shine
When darkness falls it is time to unwind

Again we start this cycle of day
Lasting until something takes it away
If we perish from this place
Or heaven comes with all its grace
