The Storm

Rising from the base,
A storm -

And I hear the snap:

The most fragile glass shatters beneath me,
Darkest cotton forms in the
Recesses of my mind,
corrupted with hate and rage
Until I doubt everything but my own emotion.

These horrid thoughts questioning.
But i know,
And as i fall through the glass
My mind shatters too -

And I beg for the bottom,
The soft cushion of relief it bears,
Unable to reach it.

The poem deals with the doubt I feel around people I love
