Between the Lines of My Life
Words have no meaning without a little feeling…
Your eyes are dry, but inside you’re dying
Your face holds a smile, but inside the voices are screaming
Your pillow is stained with the tears you couldn't cry
Your sheets are stained with the pain you couldn't handle
The days drag on and on with no end
Another day of school, another day of hell
Faces pass by, while you stand there invisible
How much does a smile tell people?
That you’re okay? That everything is perfect?
There was a girl who had everything she had ever wanted
But her smile seemed to fall more and more
Her friends started to leave
Her parents seemed distant
The weight of the world on her shoulders
With no one to help her up when she fell
She was ready to end it all, on a dark stormy night
Tears fell, her heart beat fast, but even Death didn’t seem to want her
So the hell dragged on, some days worse than others
Some days she was happy but still breaking
Slowly she seemed to handle it better
New friends who understood the pain she felt
The words are made from the ink bleeding out of her pen
These words the things she could never tell
Hidden between the lines, the monsters hidden under lies
Her life between light and dark
Gray; such a lonely color, such a painful feeling
Some days happy some days sad
Driving her to be a bipolar manic
With a craving for a release she could never get
