Storm
I was stabbed and struck by lightning,
 Almost drowned in the rain
Thunder’s great hand clapped over my mouth
When I tried to scream out your name
The world was menacing, the sky chillingly dark
Yes, that storm certainly left its mark
I’m shaken but I managed to make it through
 And now I’m looking forward
 Into undiscovered and new

I stand calmly in the rainstorm,
Let warm teardrops cleanse my skin
 The thunder murmurs approvingly,
 Nudging me to begin
A spotlight of lightning illuminates my face
As I step into the tempest,
 Undisturbed,
 In my place.
