The River and the Sun
How can you forgive me
For telling you that I find you
So annoying and obnoxious.
How can I forgive myself for
always messing up everything
and making people’s lives worse?
With the tears streaming down my face
They don’t look like a pretty river
Glowing in the spring
They look like confusion
And stress
And suicide combined.
My arm is bright red
Like the summer sun
On a night’s beginning
And my family doesn’t seem
To notice or care
About their daughter who isn’t the same.
