Beside the gilded light
Lies a lonely little heart
Dying slowly, facing plight
Ripped in half, torn apart
In a pool of crimson
It plays it's final beat
Crying to all who'll listen
On the cold, littered street
The city's no place for heartache
In a dark and gloomy alley
In debauchery most men partake
Their hearts reside in death's deepest valley
