My Beautiful Garden
I miss my garden
It's beauty beckons me
At night it shines
For all the world to see
Flowers surround this square of land
Green, yellow, violet, and blue
Colors enhance further in
Crimson, fuchsia, and periwinkle too
I miss the soft grass
That tickled my bare feet
I always wondered
Is this where beauty and peace meet?
A bench sat in the middle
Worn down by many years of rain
Comfortable to read a book
To drown my endless pain
Until I see my garden again
I'll just think of it
And know that in my beautiful garden
I'm welcome at least for a bit
