Knots and Sun Rays
How I long for the daylight like a nostalgic elder’s past
And how I cling to the night like a wick being drowned by melted wax
How I spring to my feet in a world of no worries
Only to drop back down to the floor with realization and suppressed fury
How I have lost all ability to make any daily decisions
Because my conclusions change and crash into indecisive mental collisions
It seems like we are all born with a big knot in our brain
And through life we unravel the threads without going insane
Sometimes the knot just seems too tight
And sometimes the threads untangle just right
By the end of your life if not one knot remains
Then happiness and enlightenment is gained
My hands are already cramping and my eyes already tired
From examining the patience and dedication required
Though effort and labor is put into everyday
I still long to wake up to another twelve hours of knots and sun rays
