Purple Sweater
It was very simple,
Just lavender.
One zipper, two pockets
Very big on this four year old.
The softness made it impossible to take off.
It had spent more time on me than the coat rack
Tons of stains it would get
Lots of tears, sweat, hugs
It traveled more than a diaper bag
Zoos, circuses, parks, school
The sweater was loved by one and only
The best part was when it was freshly washed
The smell matched the color perfectly
The sweater was the beginning of my favorite color
