He walks through the fields of darkness
Sword in hand and purpose in heart
He guides the lost souls through the ocean waves
And shines light through the purest darkness
He is the son of shadow and creature of light
He is the teller of lost tales, witness to forgotten crimes
He is older than any of us but may already be dead
When he finally meets his end we will not know for eons
Because his light will shine on
Long after his own demise
Burning bright throughout the night
Among his comrades in arms
