She sat
She sat alone
She sat simply
She sat with her music
With her fears
With her lies
Time whined, ticking by
She promised
This time she would say good-bye,
But as they neared his house,
He was at the front of the bus
She could no longer say so-long
She waved
She wept
Her life was a tangled web
Always Searching
Never fully getting a day
And so she sat
She sat simply
She sat with her music
With her fears and her lies
She promised
She waved
She wept
She loved
Though it was never enough
Never enough to say good-bye
