I'm so afraid I'll forget your voice
Grandma please can we rejoice
That turtle from the gas station may seem very cheap
But the meaning behind it to me it's very deep
You both meant so much
But I know you'll keep in touch...
You were ready, yeah, you knew
But I'll still be here missing you

i love this poem! short and simple but very meaningful at the same time. i know exactly how you feel i have something very similar but its a fox stuffed animal from my great grandma. she died about 2 months after i saw her for the 3rd time in florida when i was 6

This made me tear up a little, the turtles my mom gets at the store (candy right?) are a tradition of ours, so i really like it :")
