Be Blue

we start out helpless, crying, and blue
but we grow up quickly, like all humans do
we build our own lives
just to die at the end
sometimes alone, sometimes with a friend.
these lives made of dreams,
wilt and decay
like a beautiful flower on a hot summers day
some cling onto hope
some cling onto death
some cling onto dreams swirling around in their head
they feel lost in this world, they feel out of place
they always come last at the end of a race
no matter how often you smile or cry,
in the end, we're all going to die
