Chair

There in the chair,
Is the ghost of a man
Whose stories of the universe remain un-said.
The chair creaks with every roll
And sway of the bones sagging in its seat.
“Come,” he reeds and beckons with spindly hand
To whisper his last breath.
Yet, the chair still stands in the dust of the hallway –
Carrying the ghost of the man
