i am from
I am from the old kitchen radio
from wooden blocks and farm animals
I am from an old white house
the old creaky stair case
I am from the crop fields
the oak tree
whose long gone limbs i remember
as if it we're my own
I am from the nolin lakeand my family traits
from him and her
from our cash crops and the nascar race
and from that old semi
I am from ghost and witch stories
and from "you are my sunshine"
I'm from that old wooden barn
I'm from kentucky and the indians
from my mama's old country cookin'
from the snappin' turtles in the old barrels
from my papaw who was my fishin buddy
from all the times with my pole in my hand
At the old kentucky lake.
