Invisible Girl

She watches you
knows your name even though
you
don’t know hers.
She doesn’t speak
or even grin.
Her face remains a blank canvas
waiting
for someone to paint on a smile.
Not especially ugly
not especially beautiful
she blends in
with the sea of faces
never drawing attention.
Watching the world
forming opinions
that will never be heard.
She is an invisible
girl
just the way she likes it.
