Men of few words are the best kind of men. - William Shakespeare
The problem with the world is that intelligent people are full of doubt and stupid ones are full of confidence- Charles bukowski

Fold in my edges, smooth me out.
Lace me with fudge, make sure I'm sweet enough.
Sprinkle me with a colorful confidence.
Spread me into the mold of normalcy.
Throw me in the oven to dry me out and fluff me up.
Poke a hole and fill me with laughter.
Ice me in sugar-coated pleasure.
Drizzle my face a smile and layer me in a decadent facade.
After all, I'll taste better this way.

The author's comments:
Teens, girls in this instance, are expected to be a certain way in society. This poem is sarcastic in a way. We shouldn't have to live by rules or fit into an ideal category. We should be who we want to be, but it's hard and sometimes we can't. Sometimes we wish we fit the mold and other times we are glad we don't. So choose not to fit the mold, okay? That's all.
