Promise

He said he would Wait,
Whenever she was late
Even if its Forever
He Promised.
He said he would stay,
Until the last of the breathe
And He surely meant it Forever.
He Promised.
He said he loved the way,
She would be waiting by the lake
Everyday, it was Forever.
As She Promised.
She said she had the smile,
As he was along all while
She believed he would be, Forever.
As He Promised.
Now She is happy here,
Just thinking
He might be happy somewhere.
But Where's the promise?

I liked it. I pictured like Adam and Eve when I read this. I don't know why. Yeah, my life has been full of promises that mean absolutely nothing.

Where is the promise? I can connect to this, because my past has been filled with empty promises. Thank you, for sharing this. It's wonderful.
