Into darkness
Ever present
Ever lasting
Like the smoke off a candle stick it hisses
hush, hush
A gently smothering absence
Of light, sight, and humanity
There are no people in darkness
Only humans
Unaligned, unrefined, some entwined
Catch the candlestick as it falls and
hush
Into darkness
