Just another Hourglass
Silky curls fall across
Red velvet eyes
Hidden behind honeyed lashes
A single petite nose
Crinkles
As those bursting lips radiate
A slim chin –
A slimmer neck
Past the arched collarbones
And down those skeletal arms
Hips jut
Shrinking
Into
nothing
Stretching into a force
Not one
But two
Silicon Alps
Overcasting
A single jewel
In a valley of unanswered protests
And emaciated thighs,
Crawling down protruding bones
Each leg smaller than the last
Shielded by a sash
Spouting success at
Being the best
Because,
Well,
Miss USA
Is now contained in
A single
Plastic
Hourglass
