Ocean
  Submerged beneath the waves,
  encased in silence,
until Splash I breach the surface
flecks of foam and drops of water
  raining down my skin.
  The salt burns my eyes
  and flavors my tongue;
the sea bellows out a warning
before crashing over me once more.
  Roll, roll, roll
  hit the dirt
  come back up again.
  It’s never-ceasing
  always-moving,
  ebb-and-flow
  according to the moon.
  A brutal being
  but enjoyable as well,
  this ocean that I love.

I spend a lot of time at the seashore during the summers, and the beach has been a big part of my life; I thought it only right to write something about it, and I like this one better than my other 'ocean' poem.
