Walking along the damp
leaves covering the sideline,
the wind
whispering
in your ear. It’s that time
of the year again.
The throbbing,
twisting,
seemingly
never ending knot rumbling about,
seems to never go away
until kickoff.
The lights,
the cameras,
the fans.
The sweating of your hands.
Kickoff is steadily approaching
and the level of nervousness
is continuously rising.
Football season is here.
And there is no turning back.
