Leaving
Do you know how it feels to just up and leave?
Have to start from scratch all over again.
Ever been forgotten?
Well realize this-
You aren't the only one.
Not the only one who had to just leave everything,
Behind to start again.
You leave your friends,
Maybe some family,
Only for someone else's well being.
We don’t ever get a say in what we do,
We’re only children after all.
We just have to go wherever we get dragged,
No if, and's, or buts about it.
They say they know how it feels to leave,
But if they did,
Why put us through it?
If they know the pain
Of being so alone it hurts,
Why make us go through it?
If they really know how it feels,
They should think more about the outcomes,
If their worlds are us,
Why risk their worlds falling into ruin?
It’s because they don’t really care if we
LEAVE.

I was forced to move away from my friends and family over the summer and decided to write this poem and release all of my anger and hate.
