There used to be a ME
There used to be a ME
the ME used to be pretty and smart
polite and kind
the ME was loved
And the the monsters came through
they scratched and they tore
and they left ME naked
and exposed
ME was no so pretty anymore
for pretty is not ME
Pretty is skinny models with long legs
and delicate, soft hair
ME was neither smart anymore
for smart meant knowing science and math
without studying at all
So then ME who was polite and kind
became aggressive and cold
The ME was not loved anymore
For the was no ME anymore
There was a walking corpse with a beating heart that
played a soft, funeral song….
