Lost in the Words

I get lost in the words
In thought, on the hunt
I don’t mean to
I lose track of time
I forget that the world that is around me
It’s an escape
I lose myself in my writing
Nothing around me matters
Once the ideas are flowing there’s no stopping them
I breathe the words
I live in the moment
I take on the pain of the character or speaker
I feel everything
I get so sucked in I never want to escape
I don’t realize the world is still moving
Time passes so quickly
There’s nothing I can do to keep from getting stuck
