Love from Hell
You caught me by surprise.
When I laid my eyes on you,
I knew you were going to cause me pain.
I was never good enough,
I wasn't like the rest.
I was, different.
Our friendship was only disguising my love for you.
I didn't want things to end.
Your hugs sent a chill down my spine,
But I knew they meant nothing more.
Your arm around my shoulder,
Only made me want more.
The very presence of you was a drug.
I longed for it,
But I knew I would never receive it.
The time we spent together,
It was magical,
But to you it was just an ordinary day.
I was infused with a feeling I didn't know existed.
You were on my mind,
In my dream,
And in the frequent conversations I had with others.
You had no clue how I felt about you,
I tried so many times to show you my affection,
But you were so oblivious.
Then, you found out,
I panicked,
And you wanted nothing more.
You said, “Let’s forget about it.”
I said, “Okay.”
You moved on,
But I didn’t.
The pain I felt,
Was sent from hell.
I ached all over.
I knew I had to move on,
But I didn't,
I couldn't.
I still see you around,
Your very presence consuming me.
I fall for you all over again.
Love, it’s a crazy thing.
I never knew what it was,
Till I met,
Him.
