The Cliff
Quiet and quaint, a perfect little place.
The forest hugs you like a blanket.
The air is cool, thick, and pleasant.
The mud feels damp against my feet.
I finally get to the cliff side.
It was so beautiful, so perfect.
The orange and yellow played with the blue sky.
The cliff was so high from the blue water.
I sat on the log with soft moss and watched on.
Soon it would get dark and the sparkly stars
would come out and play with the navy blue sky.
I had to leave tomorrow so I said good bye.
One last time I said good bye to that perfect sky.
