My Hero
I’ve been fine until today it suddenly hit me
  It clicked in my brain
  Tugged at my emotions
I’m never going to see him again ever
When I realized that I broke
  Remembering all the good times
The feeling to lose a student is one thing
To lose someone you knew and had a connection with is another
My Monday’s will never again be greeted with his golden smile
I’ll never be able to hug him again
  Or cherish his presence
His laugh and his humor will be forever missed
His advice will be acted upon
  His promises will be kept
  The memories won’t fade
I miss you Bob a lot
  More than I can say
  More than I can fathom
Something in me just isn’t right
My heart isn’t whole without you
Monday’s will never be the same
Dodge ball will bring me to tears when I don’t hear you announcing what’s going on
You made an impact on a lot of people
  You were a great man
  A role model
  A father
  A brother
  A grandfather
  A friend
And most of all my hero
