I don’t know what it’s like to stand on the field
The crowd cheering your name
The whistle blowing, the chaos starting
I don’t know what it’s like to make a split-second decision
To hold the ball and run
To push and fight defenders off
I don’t know what it’s like to live the life of a champion
To make a touchdown, to get the tackle
To outlast the others, to exceed the expectations
I don’t know what it’s like to play football
To be an outstanding athlete
To be a family on the field
