Justice
I cannot put it into words,
The way he made me feel.
The purple sunset,
Rising in its glory,
With every creature of the land
Bowing in its grace,
Would not do it justice.
The ocean waves,
Crashing flawlessly against the shore.
Crowded with shells
and fish
and sand,
Would not do it justice.
The stab of a knife,
Each movement,
Another scar.
Each small blade
Taking even more away,
Would not do it justice.
I can’t put it into words,
The way he made me feel.
Not even the most tragically, beautiful, painful thing,
Would ever do it justice.
