Pajama Family
The most darling family walked into the theater
My family and l couldn’t take our eyes off them
A dad with his five little children
All still wearing their pajamas
From last night’s slumber
We named them pajama family
And we followed them into the theater and
We waited in line right behind them
Whispering quietly of how cute
The pajama family was
And we got to the front of the line and
The man at the counter told us
There were no more tickets for our movie
They were all sold out
At first we were worried
“What about our movie”
But then our vicious minds lead us to think
What about pajama family?
By that point we were all close to tears
We looked to our left only to see
That poor, sad, pajama family
The kids looked depressed
The dad on his phone, looking quite stressed
And as we were mourning
For this sad occasion
My brother said
“There’s another one, just a different location”
So we all left the theater
Our greedy hearts toward the movie
When l thought of the poor
Sad, pajama family
And l wanted to run back
And say
“Don’t worry, there’s another one playing nearby”
But the curse of awkwardness of human kept all of us away
From the cute pajama family
We arrived at the theater twenty minutes early
And as we were waiting our hearts lept
As we saw the adorable, sweet
Pajama family
Push open those doors
Triumphantly
Grins on each of their small cute faces
And we all silently cheered to ourselves
And still to this day
We think of the best pajama family
Watching their movie
