Life Line
Carry me home tonight
Because I'm feeling so lost
Gone somewhere I can't be found
Looked inside but all I saw was dust and dirt and pain
Life line out there in the dark
Hold on to me before I float away
Crashing into the rocks so hard
It's like I can't escape my own crazed mind
Smiles no longer
It's written all over my face
The cut grows deeper
Into the depths of my mind and heart
Safety net always by me
Catch me before I fall
There's nowhere else for me to go
My eyes wet from tears that never show
Life line out there in the dark
Gone somewhere I can't be found
Find me before I'm lost forever
Hold on to me and never let go
Tell me something my dear
Am I really here
Because I looked inside and all I saw was dust and dirt and pain

Please note that the intended title was meant to be "Buoy," which may help add meaning to the poem. However, I had to pick a new title. Enjoy.
