Tiny Worlds Change in a Heartbeat
Watch me- I am your king.
I rule all.
Watch me create stories.
This doll is a hairdresser.
That doll is her sister.
Watch me build worlds.
Small colored blocks.
Stack them to build a kingdom.
Watch me destroy, watch me rebuild.
A toy chest full of superpowers where all respect me.
But the lid closes at night. Then I am the doll.
My world is made of fragile Legos.
Watch grown-ups destroy and rebuild my world.
I am a child.
Watch me fear.

It's hard to write from only memories of emotions, but I can clearly recall sitting on the floor, playing with dolls and giving them simple stories and lives as a way to hide from the chaos of my life at that time. Dedicated to anyone who has hidden from a world that changed for the worse.
