Easier
sometimes it's easier not to think
to worry
to fret
easier to sit in the cement rivers
waiting for a car
to shatter the pool
to spray my face with sorrowful mist
easier not to think of myself
but of the bigger larger picture
tilt back my head
look up to the clouds
watch them sob with sincerity
their tears running down my face
their tears soon becoming my own
what had I done
to create this wretched storm
who had I become
to fall down to the earth
waiting as the water soaked through to my bones
easier
was painful
was hurtful
I stood from the sidewalk
I am not easy
I stepped out of the storm
easy
was
no more
