The Crime of Prosthetics
Remember when you could feel, Remember when you were whole, Remember when you could write, Remember when you could hold and hug your child, Remember when you didn't have a metal arm? I didn't think so.
Can you walk without a limp, Can you go out without people staring, Can you go swimming, Can you see yourself without a metal leg? I didn’t think so.
Did you see what your face looks like, Did you seek how the surgery didn’t work, Did you see how everything looks out of place, Did you see how your wife won’t look at you? I didn’t think so.
Are you happy?
I didn’t think so.
