Furious joy
take my hand and lead me to your lions den
I do not fear you any longer
loving you only scares those who are afraid
so I surrender my shield
and breathe
fierce teeth and gleaming eyes
turn to laughter and immense pride
only needing light and love to lead them there
do not surrender to a sense of timid sameness
settle into the change that is bound to be
love life in all its beastliness
embrace the uncertain
it a direct route to happiness
