The path of the future lies ahead
One that fills me with pain and with dread
A dark, winding road that seems gloomy and bleak
Is all I can see of the life that I seek
The moaning wind whispers tantalizing thoughts
But I stay still, rooted to the spot
If I take one step forward, I can never go back
For I know that I will not return
While on my one way track
I stand alone on the desolate trail
The remains of my past
Scattered and frail
Life shows no mercy
And herds me along
While the wind laughs behind me
Singing it's chilling song
