The Word with the Power to Make us Risk it all
Love.
What does it mean to you?
Does it mean that you had the to their heart?
Or is it just the key to the bedroom?
I want a love so deep I won’t even have to question what the word means.
No, I’ve never been in love,
But that doesn’t mean I’m not willing to try.
I hear kids throw the word around like a simple “thank you”,
But do you really mean what you say…
Maybe you just think you do?
Love gives the other the satisfaction and comfort to know everything may not be all right all the time,
But it’ll be alright when the storm passes by.
Love is not trust.
Love is proving,
Because if they really “love” you,
You would never have to be in the position to question the trust.
Now I’m young and say “What do I know about love?”
But then this same question pops up again,
What is love?
