A Copper Muse

--My glacial fingers
were the colour
of your
truth and
irrevocable chasm
tattoed between
the breaking lines
of my breathing surface
across my chest.
I bleed
cadmium that scorches
the vessels on these ombre
wrists
for the malevolent
shriek inside me
longing for cobalt drops
of heaven to
pierce through
the poignant layer
of my tattered skins
