"If not me, who? If not now, when?" -Emma Watson, Gender Equality is Your Issue Too, Speech at the United Nations

There is not a birth every second,
Nor is there a death.
But every second a person is mourning.
A sould has died
And with it an era.
One of happiness and prosperity
Now of anger and poverty.
A mother cries.
A death has not yet occured,
Another of us is dead.

Somewhere over the rainbow, I party on.

"If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put foundations under them."
Henry David Thoreau

"I fell in love the way you fall asleep; slowly, and then all at once."
John Green

I love the stark contrast between the last line and the rest of the poem. I can look at it in so many different ways and interpret it in different lightings and I just love it. Keep writing! :)
