Poem of Boredom
I cannot stand who I am
And despite my heart, I am too far damned
I wear a fake smile with real love
To show that I cannot reach what is above
I may as well just sit down and cry
And contemplate which way I should die
But why continue to live my life?
If all I thought about was death with a knife?
Instead I opened my eyes to see
All the new possibilities open to me
It may be a road hard to walk alone
And most days the world’s claws tear to your bones
But see the sun that dimly shines
And that is where the true meaning of beauty unwinds
When life can bring you more than just tears
And that one special person can wash away your fears
A day when your smile can actually exist
And fun temptations are hard to resist
When you know someone cares about you and asks how you are
You look back on your life and see your progress so far
I may not remember much, but I remember this
  Love does exist
