The Feels
It feels like you've swallowed me up,
Or taken away the veil I hid behind.
I feel naked to the world, like I was to you.
It feels like water slowly growing higher,
I can't tell you how I feel;
You won't hear, nor would you understand.
It feels like a numb sensation.
Words with meaning are how I communicate,
Not the 10 seconds of pleasure I've been giving you.
It feels like you've broken my heart
And left me in a million pieces.
Yet, I can't cry; you never did promise me anything.
