Favorite Quote:
Go ahead, judge me. Just remember to be perfect the rest of your life.

A hero of naught, the demon’s shadow lurking behind
Though praise brings tears, condemnation saves me
For it is through Hell’s fiery depths in which I will be forgiven
And salvation shall wash over me again
As it once did
I am not hero
Their claims are false
Who did I save?
All I could do was watch as blood dripped down their corpses
Eyes vacant with death
A pain so severe rests in my heart
Shall I join them? I cannot
I must live through my sins
Remember what I have done
I am no hero
Heaven shall never reach me
For all a murderer deserves is Hell!

This is a sequel of sorts to "Yami Yume", though this is about a different character. Obviously, it is inspired by the Five Finger Death Punch song, and this has, indeed, become a series of poems on accident. As "Yami Yume" is about a veteran who feels like a murderer and likens himself to a serial killer, this soldier actually goes as far to think of suicide as a way out of his emotional pain, but thinks he needs to stay alive to suffer and "repent" for his sins. This is actually a tribute to my friend's father who killed himself shortly after serving in the military.
