Life Unlived
Sitting in the corner,
Not making a sound.
No one can see you
They don’t even know you’re around
You think they don’t care
So you don’t even try.
You’re involved in a dare
You just want to cry
Each day that goes by
You don’t say a word
You pray to the sky
If only you were a bird
The teachers don’t notice
That you’re falling behind
Nor do your parents
They think you’re unkind
You have no one to talk to
You know you’re alone
No one will miss you
Whether you’re here or you’re gone.
