I have seen Home, but he insists on being elusive

He insists on remaining lost

I do not wish to play hide and go seek, Home

I wish to come in to your nail-bitten fingers and sleep

In the curly-haired bed of your making

I have seen Home, and Home calls me, he beckons me

He tells me to sing my anthem, the love song for my country

He sings to me, says I am the sun shining through the cold, cold window

I'm outside

Banging on the blood-stained door, begging to come in, but Home

Home tells me it is not time yet

Home tells me to wander because my heart is not his until

I find my heart buried in the fist of a man I lived with

But I could never say take me home because Home

Wants me to feel comfortable in my own skin,

To learn the inside and the outside, the scars, and the flesh within

Home tempts me with his sweet nothings in my ear

And his promises of peace, but every time I reach he is no longer there

I want to be home, with you

Because you are home, but I'm still traveling

I'm wandering the world

Airport by airport, security check by security check

Carrying my luggage, lugging it across continents

Dropping one bag at a time because you tell me to

Let it go

My passport is smudged and decorated with the

Grease of French fries, it's seasoned with the spices of paella and

International love

My feet are tired

My eyes are bleached from the constant beating of the sun

My ears only hear the roar of engines and oceans, and you

I hear you, you tell me to take one more step

One more leap across borders

One more, one more, one more

And I won't stop searching until I find you
