Favorite Quote:
"a life you love," sydney carton to lucie manette, a tale of two cities

When I was little

You showed me some flowers

In our garden.

They were blue,

My favorite color,

And you told me

They were forget-me-nots.

You were a florist

You loved flowers

And I loved you

So every afternoon

When I came back from school,

I’d listen to Granddaddy’s stories

About the garden

And everything inside it.

I came home from work

To visit you one day,

Only to hear myself being called

By my mother’s name.

And in my grandmother’s sad eyes

I remembered

That spring evening

When you tucked a blue flower in my hair

And promised

That you would never

Forget me.
