the girl
Oh, the envy of a girl
Who smiles and laughs with grace
  And means it.
Not the kind of happiness we paint on our faces to mask the pain
  Her beauty overthrew me.
Oh, the envy of a girl
Who loves herself and shelters in acceptance
  Cherishing her flaws.
  Thankful for the imperfections.
  Her poise overthrew me.
Oh, the envy of a girl
Who stands in the observation of her creator
  Without a doubt
  Without disbelief
In love with the one and only
  Her faith overthrew me.
Oh, the envy of a girl
  Indulged in love, satiated.
A love delivered from one of the few unbroken.
  A love so devout
  Without a valid comparison.
  Her devotion overthrew me.
  I
  Unhappy, unloved, unaccepted
  Cannot compete.
