Black as night, the clouds loom overhead.

One strike from them and BOOM! You're dead.

Rising up from ground to sky,

Lightning strikes as rain pours by.

The beauty of a lightning storm

Can take one second just to form.

Another second and it's gone,

Leaving a crater in many a lawn.
