Sun Kissed
I love you with the summer sun.
Each day grows brighter
Each day grows warmer.
You lead me daily
Out of darkness.
You are the summer sun.
One day I worry
You'll leave me cold
And not rise in the morn’
So I guard my foolish heart
From the summer sun.
You know that Darkness
Is my default. So I wear shades
To guard myself. From seeing
My faithful summer sun.
And though my heart grows weary
I need you every day
I pray that God won't take
The summer sun I love.
